<< L.O.V.E. >>

As Men fought,
Cities they conquered,
Raved hearts of all,
And wrote,
On each wall,
The story of a warrior captured,
Whose strength met a rival,
A heart,
And caused its Fall.

The fall of a city in war is a tragedy for its inhabitants and it's the pride of the conquerers.

The fall of a heart in love... is a source of happiness and causes the transformation of both, the lover and the loved one.

So yes...
As the saying goes:
"Let's make love... not war!"

The mere link of 'love' and 'war' is eccentric. You reminded me of an old story written in Ar called: Love Beneath Fire.
Although, people were falling dead or injured, two love birds were discovering their spiritualities :D:D ...

As the Ar saying says:
(( Cats breed while people die to feed ))

.

A whisper: the translation of the proverb is strictly personal :-)
